Now on to my thoughts:

First off a big thank you to the publisher Bookouture as well as to the author Miranda Smith ,and to Netgalley for letting me read and  review The Writer ,This book had me hooked from the very start , all because I needed to know who was the sender of the black hearts and why , with each turn of the page you could feel the main character's fear and panic, all the while it kept me guessing on who was behind everything.and lets not forget the questions I keeps asking myself like why , and could this happen in real life and they it hit me, and the answer to that is yes, because stalking happens in real life all the time , we don't know why, or what set the stalker off until their stop , and even then sometimes it works out in one or three was : 1 : the stalker is caught in the act and goes to jail, 2: it ends very badly  for the person that been stalked either they end up getting killed , hurt or they move away and try to restart over in a new place living their life in fear. 3: the stalker just stops and moves on to a next victim. This story shows what the victim goes through every day and how a stalker might act. With that said I will be looking forward to more of this author's writing .

Book Description:

Her body was found close to the university. She was on her way home after a night out. Just like in the story I wrote…

Every Monday, I meet my writing group in a warm, lively bar to drink a glass of wine or two. It’s the highlight of my week. But now something terrible is happening.

At first, it didn’t seem like a big deal. My tires were slashed. A woman was hit by a car outside my apartment. Then, yesterday, someone was murdered. And all the details are copied from the stories we shared.

Am I going mad, or is someone in my group a killer?

I thought they were the only people I could trust, since what happened ten years ago. But now I’m terrified one of them knows the truth that lies buried in all my work—the secret I’ve tried so hard to hide. And they want to make me pay for it.

I have to know who’s bringing my stories to life… but will the answer cost me everything?

A completely unputdownable psychological thriller that will have you glued to the pages! If you like Lisa Jewell, Ruth Ware and The Wife Between Us, then you’ll love The Writer.
