While the other one' s brother fright the German's and came back not the same and she like many Americans believed all Germans was the same. But these women are not as different as they think they are for they would fight to the death to protect their love ones . These story will show you the story of both sides, their fear, their struggle, their lose and how the war changed their lives as well as everyone else .

ABOUT THE BOOK:

The enmity between two women from opposing sides of the war culminates

in a shocking event as anti-German sentiment sweeps America, when the

aristocratic wife of a German

scientist must face the social isolation, hostility and violence leveled against her

and her family when they’re forced to relocate to Alabama in the aftermath of WWII.

For fans of Beatriz Wiliams, Pam Jenoff,

and Kristin Harmel.

Berlin, 1934—Ilse Meyer is the aristocratic wife of a scientist whose post-WWI fortunes

change for the better when her husband, Jurgen, is recruited for Hitler's new rocket program.

Although Ilse and

Jurgen do not share the popular political views rising in Germany, Jurgen’s

new job forces them to consider what they must sacrifice morally for their

financial security. But too late they realize the Nazi’s plans to weaponize Jurgen’s

technology as they begin to wage war against the rest of Europe.

Huntsville, Alabama, 1949—Jurgen is one of hundreds of Nazi scientists offered

pardons and taken to the US to work for the CIA’s fledgling space program. Ilse,

now the mother of four,

misses Germany terribly and struggles to fit in among the other NASA wives,

who look upon her with suspicion. In a moment of loneliness, she confesses to a neighbor,

Rachel Carlson

, about Jurgen’s membership in the SS and her resentment

for being forced to live in a country that will always see her

as the enemy. What she doesn’t know is that she has trusted the wrong neighbor.

When the scandalous news about the Meyer family’s affiliation

with the Nazi party spreads, idle gossip turns to bitter rage,

and the act of violence that results will tear apart a community

and a family before the truth is finally revealed—but is it murder, revenge or justice?

First off  like always I  want to say a  huge  thank you to the publisher  , the author  ,  and to the wonderful ladies of the Bookouture Anonymous Facebook group without them and their hard work and efforts I wouldn't knew about these books  and to NetGalley for the invite to join this blog tour as well as letting me read and review it.Wow now this is a read that from the first page I got sucked into and didn't want to stop reading it, the way the story starts really sets up the atmosphere as well as the tone , that even makes it a bit darker then the other books before it , and the inter action between the characters showed how much they've grown . Once of the things I love about this one was you got to see how much Ben Matthews and out main character loved each other, how they was there for each other and went out of their way to make sure the other one knew that no matter what the day throw at them , their always have each other backs. And the story it self was Chilling in places, as well as intense to the point that there was times I was setting on the edge of my set.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

The beam shines around the dark room, lighting up the woman in sky-blue pyjamas lying on the couch. But she doesn’t wake under the bright glow, she isn’t sleeping at all…When a concerned neighbour reports a woman missing, Detective Morgan Brookes squeezes through the stiff front door to find the woman dead. At first, the case appears unsuspicious, but something about the scene unsettles Morgan. Every clock in the house has been stopped, every mirror covered, and the woman seems physically unharmed except for one missing lock of hair.Shirley Kelly was loved by her friends and hated by her ex-husband and his new wife, but they have an iron-clad alibi, and Morgan is certain that the scene-staging holds a vital clue. She’s devastated to be proved right when another woman is killed, and her home arranged in the same way. The only difference is that the second victim has been stabbed, using a knife from Shirley’s own kitchen…The team can’t find a connection between the two women, but Morgan is sure that there is a deadly pattern to the killer’s actions. She hunts through each woman’s past until she finds the link: years ago, they both worked for a woman called Evelyn Reynolds, before tragedy struck her young family. But what has made them targets now? Morgan knows this twisted case is far from over, can she find the final clue before the clock stops for the next name on the killer’s list?An absolutely gripping, mile-a-minute read. Perfect for fans of Angela Marsons, Lisa Regan and Rachel Abbott!

It'll keep you guessing to the very end ,and when you think you have it figured out ,you're be like oh I had it wrong.Plus in this one you see more of the human side of Amanda ,her struggles with her feelings for her partner ,  the relationship with her adopted daughter Zoe, and how much each character has grown from the last book .

About the Book:

The moon shines through the open window, bathing the woman in pale light. Blood-red wine from a shattered glass soaks into the cream blanket beside her, and her dull eyes stare vacantly at the framed photograph in her hand.

When beautiful wife and mother Alicia Gordon is found dead in a remote woodland cabin, Detective Amanda Steele is shocked to discover that she knows the husband. Amanda hasn’t spoken to Tony since she lost the love of her own life seven years ago, and seeing tragedy tearing her old friend’s family apart brings back so many painful memories.

Alicia was alone when she died, but she was so young, and Amanda can’t help feeling suspicious. Then she discovers that Alicia’s sleep medication had been tampered with, slowly poisoning her over several days. Amanda wants to trust that the sorrow on Tony’s face is real, but the more she digs into his marriage, the more it seems that he had opportunity, and motive…

Interviewing one of Alicia’s old colleagues, Amanda is shaken to her core when the woman suddenly collapses in her arms, dying in seconds from a lethal dose of the same poison that killed Alicia. But what could link this woman to Tony?

With her partner blaming Amanda for not arresting Tony immediately, she needs to prove that he isn’t the killer, or accept that the second woman’s death could be on her hands. She’s running out of time and leads when she discovers threatening messages sent to both victims. It’s the final clue to unmasking the most twisted killer Amanda has ever come up against, and to stop them she’ll have to risk everything…

A heart-pounding crime thriller perfect for fans of Angela Marsons, Robert Dugoni and Rachel Caine.
