Daniels has hooked me not only wither her no stop action packed romance , but also with her characters , how they come to life off the page, her stores are always the type that you can just pick up and get lost in and this was one of those . I loved how it was a second change romance  that was  also an engaging, suspenseful mystery . The pacing of the story was great , and even though at this time I've read the other 2 books in the series it felt like you could read it as a stand alone if you wanted too but I do have to say after reading this one I can't wait to read the other 2. As for the characters I loved the interaction of the brothers as well as the interaction between the two main characters themselves .

Under a Brighter Sky

Welcome to my blog tour stop for Under a Brighter Sky which is been hosted by Bookouture

Title :Under A Brighter Sky
Author: Dianne Haley
Series :The Resistance Girl Book 2
Rating : 5

Would I recommend it? Yes
Would I read more of this series ? Yes
Would I read more by this author ? Yes
like always I  want to say a  huge  thank you to the publisher  Bookouture , the author Dianne Haley ,  and to the wonderful ladies of the Bookouture Anonymous Facebook group without them and their hard work and efforts I wouldn't knew about these books  and to NetGalley for the invite to join this blog tour as well as letting me read and review it.Wow and here I thought book 1 was good but this one was even better .And just like The Watchmaker's Daughter pulled my emotions in every direction,  so did this one . It had be literally asking myself can this person be trusted, and who the  traitor was , As well as keeping my fingers cross that the resistance would find out who he or she was before more of them was either caught or put too death. The characters,  as well as the places and timeline came to life and made me feel like I was actually there and reach out and touch the characters.

Under a Brighter Sky: A completely gripping and heartbreaking WWII historical novel (The Resistance Girl Book 2) by Dianne Haley

1943, Nazi-occupied France. Clinging to her little girl’s hand, a young woman runs through the forest and stumbles in the dark. Behind her there are angry shouts in German and shots ringing through the pine trees. Her heart in her mouth, she prays desperately that her husband and son are safe, and that they will see each other again…

As the mountains come alive with bright alpine flowers, Jewish families flee into Switzerland from Nazi-occupied France. Young Resistance fighter Valérie Hallez has hidden Pierre and his little son in the dusty attic of her mother’s bookshop. At night, by flickering candlelight, Pierre tells Valérie of his fear that his precious wife and daughter have been captured. And as they both look to more hopeful days ahead, Valérie writes letters to her soldier fiancé Philippe, dreaming of the day when they can be safely reunited.

With the police going door to door hunting refugees, Pierre and his son must go further into Switzerland before they are caught. But Pierre will not leave without his wife and daughter, and nobody in the Resistance knows what has happened to them. Desperate to reunite the family, Valérie puts herself in more and more danger. But when Philippe discovers that the Germans have her listed as a key Resistance fighter, he begs her not to go back to the border. If she does, he might never see her again.

Valérie knows the Nazis will kill her if they find her, but she cannot bear to abandon the mother and child. Breaking her promise to Philippe, she crosses over into France to look for them. But one of Valérie’s friends in the Resistance is betraying secrets to the Nazis, and her life is in terrible danger. When Philippe hurries to save her life, will they both survive? And will Valérie’s efforts to reunite the family be in vain?

A completely unputdownable and heart-wrenching novel about a woman who risks everything to reunite a family torn apart by war. Fans of The Alice Network, The Nightingale and We Were the Lucky Ones will be swept away by Under a Brighter Sky.

The Lucky One

Would I recommend it? Yes

Would I read more by this author ? Yes

like always I  want to say a  huge  thank you to the publisher Bookouture  , the author Jessica Payne , and to NetGalley for letting me read and review The Lucky One .The biggest point of this story that won me ever was that it made me feel like I actually want to look over my shoulder and make sure no one was watching me from the shadows , fast pace from the beginning,  and at every twisted and turn I had to know more about what had happened.  So if your looking for absolutely addictive, mind blowing page turner that will keep you up with a racing heart until you've finished then this might be it .

Ten years ago, I survived a serial killer. They called me the lucky one, but they don’t know the truth I’ve been hiding ever since…Then: We danced together that night, our dresses glittering in the swirling lights. We couldn’t have known that for one of us, it would be our last night alive. Now: Back in my hometown a decade later—the place I’ve avoided because of the memories—I can’t shake the feeling that I am being followed. I tell myself it’s all in my head, but the prickle on the back of my neck feels like a warning. Then the anonymous messages land in my inbox: I’m watching. I’ve been waiting for you.I want to feel safe, surrounded by my closest friends. But everyone has something to hide and it’s impossible to know who I can trust. When my friend Esme goes missing, her phone ringing through to voicemail, it feels like the past is about to repeat itself.Someone won’t let me forget what really happened that night. What I promised. How I escaped. If the truth comes out, I only hope they can forgive me... I can’t make the same mistake again. I have to keep us all safe. What if, this time, I’m not so lucky? An addictive, nail-biting psychological thriller, The Lucky One will have you sleeping with the light on. Fans of Stillhouse Lake, The Girl on the Train and Gillian Flynn will be totally hooked!

First off  like always I  want to say a  huge  thank you to the publisher  , the author  ,  and to the wonderful ladies of the Bookouture Anonymous Facebook group without them and their hard work and efforts I wouldn't knew about these books  and to NetGalley for the invite to join this blog tour as well as letting me read and review it. Wow other great read from Bookouture,  that literally pulled my heart out of my chest , it had me feeling all of the emotions from happiness to sadness to fear for the characters themselves,  and the writing captured the sorrow and despair they was going through.  The author  brought her characters to life as well as the places she talking about in her story.Plus it show the hard work she did with her research on the topic she writes about , which is something I love because after reading this book it made me want to look up more about this topic, and if they every found all of the kids or not. Once again a big thanks to Bookouture and the author for their hard woke and for introducing me to a part of our history I had no idea about at all.

Author Bio:
Anna Stuart lives in Derbyshire with her campervan-mad husband, two hungry teenagers and a slightly loopy dog. She was hooked on books from the moment she first opened one in her cot so is thrilled to now have several of her own to her name. Having studied English literature at Cambridge university, she took an enjoyable temporary trip into the ‘real world’ as a factory planner, before returning to her first love and becoming an author. History has also always fascinated her. Living in an old house with a stone fireplace, she often wonders who sat around it before her and is intrigued by how actively the past is woven into the present, something she likes to explore in her novels. Anna loves the way that writing lets her ‘try on’ so many different lives, but her favourite part of the job is undoubtedly hearing from readers. First book by this author that I've read but I so going to check out more of her books if their as cute and funny as this one was, it had me smiling and laughing though the book plus Lizzy is a character after my own heart , one because we both have anxiety, and the second thing is and was that we're both big book worms and we love going to book stories and buying books. Side note : Since this is my first Jayci Lee book I had no idea that it was part of a series and that it was in fact book 3 but I will come out and say even though it is part of a series I feel like it can be read as a stand lone and you can still enjoy it like I did. Plus I loved learning and read about the different aspects of Korean culture. As well as seen how close Lizzy and Jack was even before they got together . So if your looking for a cute , funny friends to lovers romance then check this one out .

My thoughts
First off  like always I  want to say a  huge  thank you to the publisher Bookouture  , the author  Miranda Smith ,and to the wonderful ladies of the Bookouture Anonymous Facebook group without them and their hard work I wouldn't have found out about this book or many of the others I since read before or after this one, as well as  to NetGalley for the invite to join this blog tour as well as letting me read and review it.
This is the second book from this author that I've read and in fact I have one other of hers to read , she's becoming one of my go to authors because with her books you have no idea what's going to happen next, and you can always get lost in them to the point where you don't want to stop reading. This one was creepy as well as unpredictable, and every time I thought I has something figured out , man was I wrong , while  it was slow in some places  which is something you never see in thrillers ,this one it worked because it helped set the pace of the story and made it that more tense in some places .And it give you that feeling you get when you watch a good atmospheric thriller movie , you know the ones that make you set on the edge of your set , and make you feel like your been watched from the shadows or that someone you can't see is standing  right behind you . It had just about everything I love in these type of books :serial killer, a haunting past, an abundance of danger.
Book Description:
We should never have kept our father’s secret. Before, my sisters and I were close. Now, a year after our father’s funeral, we barely speak to each other. Molly won’t accept the truth. Rachel can’t forgive him. And I spend all my time digging through his life, trying to understand. Then we hear the news. A woman has been found by the docks, her wedding ring stolen. The reporter says it appears the local serial killer has returned…But I know that can’t be right, because I know who the killer was.Henry Martin. Our father.Someone is sending us a message. Someone knows we lied. Now my sisters and I must work together to find out who is targeting us. How do they know what we’ve hidden? What do they want? And what other secrets lie buried in the past, putting us all in danger?A brilliantly twisty suspense thriller that will have you flying through the pages and gasping at the twist. Fans of Lisa Jewell, Gillian Flynn and Ruth Ware will love The Killer’s Family.

Author Bio:
Miranda Smith writes psychological and domestic suspense. She is drawn to stories about ordinary people in extraordinary situations.
