First off  like always I  want to say a  huge  thank you to the publisher Bookouture  , the author D.K.Hood , and to NetGalley for the invite to join this blog tour as well as letting me read and review it. The perfect setting and atmosphere for this time of year, especially here in Charleston WV, because when I was reading this , it was raining , and cold , temperature was in the 50's. So of course I'm going to have my favorite drink, and read one of my favorite series all the while I'm under a nice soft and warm blanket. And the entire time i can re visit my favorite town and characters Kane &Alton, ok so out of the 2 even though their both favorites , my all time favorite is Kane, am I sorry about that nope.  What can I say i just love him. As for the story itself wow , the setup and the way the story made me feel, even now just thinking about , still gives me shivers down my spine, plus I loved how the author ties in the book theme with the story. Yes I know others have doen the same but she brought it to a hole new level. Plus with the touch. Of the snow blizzard and the location of the Hotel it give me the feels of set up that would be perfect for an Agatha Christie story.

Welcome to my reading corner , where we talk about the books I've read and think you should know about , and that you might be interested in. This weeks book is actual a audiobook, and before you ask you did read that right, and yes I do hardly every if at all listing to them , but in the next few days your been hearing me talk about six of them , so pull up a set and if you want to get a drink.

Now on to my talk about it :

Like always I would like to start off by saying a big thank you to Hachette Audio, author Jane Fritsch as well as to Nita Basu and Jasmine Normall for gifted me it.And second if you've been around long enough you will know by know that I don't hardly every listing to audiobooks , and if I do then its on something that I knew I'll pick up in a heart beat that what happened here, in fact last month I didn't even do it because when I got the email from them I didn't see anything I would read, and I read just about anything that catches my eye. So this time I was like lets just go take a look and see what they have, and this time around they had not one , not two but six audio books that I would either listing to or pick up in a heartbeat , one romance, to non fictions, and three thrillers , but we're here to talk about this one first so let's get this chat started.

Like I said I love reading , watching or even listing to podcast about true crime as well as about serial killers, there just something about that makes them both in frightening and interesting at the same time . And no matter how many times I read or hear about them or cases I always learn something new. And that's what the author Jane Fritsch did with her book, she not only re introduced me to 3 of the serial killers she writes about , but also new ones that I've never heard about, which is great because when that happens it makes me want to learn more about them. And she does it in a way that its easy and simple to read and listen to , by breaking down the cases as if your in a class so its easy to understand better. As for the narrator he did an amazing job of talking you though each case , and made it ease to just set back and listing to the story, he help bring to  life not only the victims but also the time period he was talking about . If I was taking a class on true crime then I would want him as my teacher because of how he made you want to learn as much as you can about them and even more.

Now on to my thoughts for her first I would say that she hit it out of the ball park. Its the type of thriller that shows you that no matter what you think you known about a person or what they tell you about themselves , you will never truly know that person and you should never put your trust into someone on what they say , because no matter what , everyone has dark secrets that they want to keep. It also shows just what happens when you trust someone that you just meet to help watch your kids and how far that person will go if they love said kids as their own. There are secrets, lies, twist and turns that will make it impossible to trust both of the main characters. Its  emotional and  as well as engaging though out the story and at times you feel sorry for the both of them .

First off  like always I  want to say a  huge  thank you to the publisher Bookouture , the author Marion Kummerow , and to NetGalley for the invite to join this blog tour as well as letting me read and review it This author is seriously becoming one of my favorite historical fiction WW 2 authors , in fact she up there with Chrystyna Lucyk-Berger, whose another author I was introduced to by Bookouture and NetGalley . They both write stories that I know will give me everything I'm looking for in a story that takes place doing that time period and they've never let me down. Just like the first book The Light In The Windows ( which you have to read first to understand what is going on in this one) I was feeling all of the emotions, and fear that our main character was feeling, plus the story just came off the page and came to life. And this one showed even more so how strong our main character was , and even though its fiction it still shows that she did her research,

Now on to my thoughts 

First a big thank you to the author Alexander Semenyuk for inviting me to read and reviewing his book , and I'm so glad I decided to take a chance and said yes , in the past there have been a few times I've done so and some have turned out really good and others sadly not so but this one is one of the ones that turned out good.The first thing I loved about it  was doing the entire time I was reading it was how it remind me of the old detectives stories that I read. Other thing was how the author mixed in the paranormal aspect of it that give off the vibes of Lovecraft , and how the two blending so will together that you couldn't tell where one started or one ended. The way he made his characters come life and the places he wrote about also seemed very real. And lets not forget the  twists and turns as well as the horror element, mystery mixed with the touch of paranormal. Over all it was fun and spooky read that would be perfect for a cold stormy night or even for October .
