like always I want to say a huge thank you to the publisher Bookouture , the author Imogen Matthews, and to NetGalley for letting me read and review The Boy in the Attic. And helping me to find a other new to me author , since this will be my first time I've ever read anything by this author and after reading this I can say that I want to read more by her .The way she writes and tells her stories ,you can feel her passion for sharing the forgotten stories from wartime Holland and and the love and pride she has in her family history as well as for her mother . She brings to life not only the struggle for survival in the most difficult of times, but also bravery and kindness of the people who risked everything including their own lives .

Author Bio:
Imogen Matthews writes novels based on true stories about the Netherlands during the German occupation in World War 2. Some stories she discovered by chance, others are based on her Dutch mother's own experiences of hardship and survival during the Hunger Winter of 1944-45.
Her first novel, The Hidden Village, is set in the Veluwe woods, a beautiful part of Holland that Imogen has visited frequently over the past 30 years. It was in these woods that she discovered the story of the real hidden village which provided shelter in underground huts for Jews during WW2. Imogen retells the story of the hidden village with characters drawn from real life and from her imagination.
