My thoughts: 

First off a big thank you to the publisher Bookouture, the author D.K Hood , and one to Netgalley for the invite to read His Next Wife. As soon as I saw this I couldn't or wouldn't say no, when I started to read D.K Hood it was because of her series Detectives Kane and Alton, then her next series Detective Beth Katz, and I was so happy to hear that she was going to also start writing standalones, so as you can tell going I was looking forward to this one as well as her other books. But I wasn't sure going in I it would have the same wow factor as her other books and I'm so glad it does. Just like her other books it pulled me in to the store and had me hooked and will these read as suspense or even maybe suspense romance ( because there is a bit of romance in

Detectives Kane and Alton, His Next Wife read more and played alone the lines as a psychological Thriller, because of the way it plays with your mind as your reading what happens to the main character and makes you ask yourself questions.

His first wife died in an accident, but I’m not so sure. Did he kill her? Am I next?

Handsome and charming, Jack swept me off my feet when we met, and now we’re married and I’m moving into his imposing old house. I’m bursting with excitement until I see a face staring down at me from an upstairs window. Before I can wave, the face vanishes from view. Jack says nobody else was home, so who is hiding in the shadows?

Taking in my new home, I’m startled to discover a long ivory wedding gown in one of the bedrooms. My heart pounds as I realise this was the room where I saw someone watching me.
